Weekend At Diggedy's - Volume 30
Before we begin, a note from your sponsor:
TONIGHT AT THE KNITTING FACTORY
HIP HOP KARAOKE
10pm DOORS
11pm SHOW
COME THROUGH
IT’S FREE
Now, back to your regularly scheduled program:
Gotta make this one short and sweet cause today’s a little crazy…
But I guess sometimes less Diggedy talking and more track posting is a good thing.
Also, an additional note: Charlie is NOT allowed to download any of the songs this week due to his comments on Weekend At Diggedy’s in recent weeks.
On to the choice cuts for this Friday, September 7th:
The Roots – “Peter Piper” (Live at Roseland 2003)
http://www.zshare.net/audio/352649631f3c8e/
No, it’s not as good as the version I do with DJ Wex. But that’s something you have to check out live once a year. You just never know when we’re going to drop it. But when we do, and Wex steps from behind that booth, you almost feel like Jam Master Jay is manning the wheels of steel for us.
The Troubleneck Brothers – “Back To The Hip Hop”
http://www.zshare.net/audio/35267457337481/
This song is pretty much a necessity for any collection. Such a great track. My Uncle Louie was a truck driver in the early 90’s and one day he ended up having to make a delivery to a label. They had a box of CD’s they were throwing out, and he grabbed anything that looked like rap. So he brings me this collection of oddball sh*t, when all of a sudden I pull out the maxi-single for this song. A true jewel. Download it!
Red Hot Lover Tone – “Damian’s Hook”
http://www.zshare.net/audio/35268467449dd4/
I’ve said it in the past, I’ll say it again. I’m a fan of Red Hot Lover Tone’s albums. This is off of the 2nd LP, #1 Player. If you haven’t heard it, download it fools. You’ll have a fun time listening to all the rappers name dropped.
That’s it, that’s all.
SEE YOU TONIGHT!

Red Hot Lover TOne was wild nice. He was better rapper than producer, but made more money producing that rapping. His debut is a classic.
Ahhhhhh my cousin is gonna love that troubleneck download.
I downloaded the Troubleneck LP (Fuck All Y'All), but I'm pretty sure it never got an actual release. Anyone know what happened?
