I am here to please you.
So without further adieu, the choice tracks* for this Friday, May 16th...
Mos Def featuring Talib Kweli and Kanye West - "Brookago"

Have they all been on a track together other than the "Get By" remix? I don't think so, but my ear isn't to the street like some people. Anyway, this is a crazy track. I'm sure you can figure it out by the title. Brooklyn and Chicago uniting. Crazy Kanye production. You know the deal. Download it!
Mos Def featuring Black Thought - "Still Travellin' Man"
http://www.zshare.net/audio/12135690313df917/
Someone might know the whereabouts of this better than me. I think this was a Japanese import off of the DJ Honda 12" for "Travellin Man". Not as good as the original, but Black Thought KILLS it. "Black Thought never leaving on a jet plane / Catch the next pitch like Piazza at a Met game / Fastball with the El Sid velocity / Don't need Krs to understand this philosophy". He murdered it. DOWNLOAD IT!
Mos Def - "Passenger 57"
http://www.zshare.net/audio/12135978bb597bad/
This track was a little wacky. Basically Mos reliving the Wesley Snipes movie with him in the role of man against the world. Not sure who did the beat. A bit of a stretch in terms of the Slick Rick storytellin' - not to mention the odd chorus where Mos keeps chanting "Always bet on black, except when you're at the track" - but still has flashes of that Mos greatness. Download it!
Have a great weekend people. Go Yankees!
*= Note : Link 1 may actually lead to INI's "Fakin Jax" (Rude Youth Remix), Link 2 may actually lead to Big Daddy Kane featuring Gza "Cameo Afro', and Link 3 may actually lead to Aceyalone's "I Never Knew".

oh oh oh oh oh.... I GET IT.
first track is INI - Fakin Jax Pete Rock Remix, not Brookago
Is Diggedy trying to say that Diggedy doesn't dig Danté?
Yeah, I was able to figure out last week that the theme was "sunshine," but I'm kinda lost here. I'm with RDJ there.
I'll tell you this though: I don't dig INI. I ripped them in a record review a few years ago when that Pete Rock Lost and Found double album came out. I don't want to spread negativity on the blog by posting the link, but if you search for "Pete Rock Ink 19" you'll find it.
