Friends..Flowmen..Flowomen..
Lend me your ears...
In the interest of keeping the event fresh and lively, we have removed certain songs from the list.
I cannot emphasize enough that this had NOTHING to do with ANYONE'S performances (on the contrary actually, because some of these songs were done as good if not better than the actual artist). Some of these songs haven't even been done once!
The HHK triumverate meet monthly to discuss all things HHK, and this month we went down the list song by song to see which should stay in the starting line-up, and which should sit out the next couple of plays.
Here is the list :
ATCQ - Find A Way
Eminem - I'm Shady
Eminem - Way I Am
Eric B & Rakim - Follow the Leader
Geto Boys - Damn It Feels Good
Jay-Z & Em - Renegade
Keith Murray - Most Beautifullest
Roots - Stay Cool
Run DMC - King of Rock
As always, we are scouring record stores, Ebay, J New's mom's garage, etc for new records to add. We always welcome suggestions, and if you find a record/s we think will make a great addition, we'll buy it from you (face value, though..don't pull any "this record is out of print and cost me $499.99" ish).
That's all for now...

Good choices, gents. I never understood why Stay Cool or Find A Way were there in the first of all.
What's good wit some LL? "Around the Way Girl"? "Mama Said"?
Or of course, what's good wit the new Talib joints, "Listen" and "More or Less" Only $5.99 at fatbeats.com
kev- those two LL songs are pretty tough to find instrumental versions of. you find 'em, you get a reward.
I'm on it. I have to run down to fatbeats to pick up some tix anyway.
By the way, any one interested in going to the Brooklyn Bodega CMJ showcase at BB Kings on Oct. 31st featuring Prince Paul, Stetsasonic, CL Smooth, A.G., Dres, The Juggaknots, etc.? I won the tix but didn't realize I can't go since I have class that night.
Yo Kev!
If you don't find "Around the Way Girl" @ Phat Beats. . . you can always get it here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200037378851&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:US:1
The seller said that there is an instrumental track on there.
Tickets have been claimed!
Good look K-Dot.
Be wary, my friends, the instrumental on the official Around the Way Girl is not the same as the real song. I learned the hard way.
That's whack. Maybe Van is right. Watch out for them remixes!
Speaking of remixes -- the song list says you guys have the "One More Chance" remix. Am I to understand that this is not the version from Ready To Die, but some hokey radio version?

yea, it's the "video" version... far from hokey though... it's just the most recognizable...
ya'll are bitter-ass hhk'ers! tell 'em why you mad son! :o)
The B-Side (BKA the hip hop Remix) ain't bad either. Still not the album, but it's gotta a little thug to it. But you can't go wrong with the Stay With Me Remix (video version), all the ladies love it.
Fine, but do I still get to have the cleanest, meanest penis?
Hit fatbeats today, didn't get a chance to listen to Around the Way Girl, but I did notice they have an instrumental album for Common's Be but then again, i don't know how much love the HHK crowd has for Common.
yea, the common rekids dont seem to go over. i mean, shit, we have his best song of all time on the list... and it's been picked like twice.
