So I'm at my Uncle's friend's home about a year ago. Gathering of a lot of their friends, including a 19 year old upstart I had vaguely known when he was a simple 7 year old running around without a care in the world. So now, the kid looks like an extra from a Lupe Fiasco video. He barely remembered me (and I him), but his mom intro's us and of course does the obligatory "you guys might like the same music." He looked me up and down like I was some 55 year old retired school teacher from Long Island, and went back to what he was doing. Fine by me, until we later found ourselves the only 2 people in a room and I felt obligated to begin an awkward conversation. "So what kind of Hip Hop do you like?" I said. He replies "Underground stuff. You wouldn't know it." Now I'm sitting there laughing to myself, because mother f*cker, I am the underground. I said "Like who?" He says "Well, MF Doom.." I stop him and say "Yeah I like Doom. Are you a fan of his KMD stuff?" Stares at me, and says "Who is KMD?". Game over kid.

Thanks, Diggedy, for the KMD track in particular. That's one hell of a collabo! Any time you get to hear a track with Sadat X you haven't heard before is always a good time, in my opinion.

Man I love those Gravediggaz, especially Fruitkwan. RZA's conduct disappointed me with respect to Poetic's illness and death. Didn't even visit his man in the hospital. R.I.P. Grym Reaper.
I love moments like you described in the KMD blurb. People who think they're the shit, and then you stump them. Anyway, that remix is the reason I hang on to my quasi-bootleg copy of Mr. Hood that Doom himself released before Traffic did a much better job (sans remix of course).
48 hours is one of my all time favorite movies ever. ever. however, another 48 hours sucked gofer balls.

OR:
b) GOFER balls, as in the testicles of the low-level employee whose chief responsibilities are to "go fer" coffee, newspapers, etc.?
