Manhattan Regionals In the Books
Thank you to everyone who came and sold out Mercury Lounge on Friday for the Hip Hop Karaoke Manhattan Regionals. It was a tough battle but congratulations to RDJ, Dashaun, Jason, Doni D, and K-Dot for earning the top scores. These 5 join Damali, Charlie, Thomas, Santiago, Diego, Jessica and defending champion Chef Lowe (seen here seconds before eating the trophy) at the Hip Hop Karaoke Championship January 29th at Irving Plaza. One love to the Fun Bunch... the world has many bunches in it, but none are funner than y'all.
man, i had so much fun on friday! damn! there's something about a room that small, and having it packed out and full of energy. love that feeling. the only thing that might be better is a room packed out with 1,200 people in it! really looking forward to seeing the 12 people bring their a-games on jan 29. can't wait.
Seriously, it was PACKED. Each of my 4 nervous commutes to the bathroom before I went on took me, like, minutes to get through the crowd.

k dot's joint was the best thing ever at hiphop karaoke ever. ever. better than the dude with the humpty nose. better than every group of girls that ever did shoop. effing ridiculous.

i think you spoke on a really interesting point of view in that video... something that maybe your average folks wouldn't think about. you have a very unique perspective and i thought it was thought provoking.
