I love how the article says that rappers "advocated" the wearing of saggy pants. Like DMX really stood up at a concert and said "I'd like to strongly speak out in favor of y'all mothafuckas wearing your pants like this." And then he broke out a Powerpoint presentation listing the advantages.
this snippet cracks me up -
"Protesters of sagging believe those who engage in the trend could ward off some of the 68,000 tourists who visit Plains each year. The town boasts a population of 600"
get you travel agent on the phone ASAP people b/c the days of sagging pants are near their end in Plains.
Perhaps not as embarrassing as a news article from my hometown paper that defined hip-hop as "a form of rap in which the performers jump up and down" (I'm not making this up, and the article was not a column or satire.)
