Bootlegs were worth a pretty penny. When I wanted to read the lyrics, I went to the Wiz and caught the $9.99 deal. $5.99 for EP/Maxi-single or you could catch a .99 cent deal. If you dont remeber that where were u!

I was a beast when it came to the 99 cent deals! In fact. . . I think the majority of my cassettes were via the 99 cent route.

Damn. . . dem wuz da dayz!

And Doni. . . I can never get enough of the beatboxin. . . you need your own damn TV show. I can see it now. . . Doni D. performing all the classics while the Knicks postgame highlights are rollin. . . Video Music Box meets Knicks Postgame. . . Uncle Ralph & Clyde watch your back!

Any Cosby Show fans here? Does anyone remember the episode where it was Thanksgiving and it was torrential rain? And Claire kept sending Cliff to the grocery store for stuff they needed for dinner?

The Wiz is where it was at. I remember once I found out the the sale paper listed the new releases on sale, I was reading it weekly like the sunday times. I also used to hit up Sam Goody's but they lost me when they sold me an editted copy of Cypress Hill's Black Sunday. To this day I curse them under my breathe everytime I hear "When the SHIP goes down..."

Kev...

1) Yes, that episode. OK you mighta missed my joke. Doni looks EXACTLY like Cliff did at the end of that episode.

2) I worked at the Wiz for a year and a half in the music dept. Only reason I stopped is because my store closed down. Fun as hell. I still miss that place.

That was classic Cosby right there. . . and all Doni's missing is the SDJ button Bill rocked on EVERYTHING!!! (Although he was probably rockin' the button on his sweater underneath the rain coat. . . ah well)
