Free Common Show
Common and Ginuwine are droppin rhymes and tryin to get in yo girl's pants (respectively most likely) this Friday at Rutgers. The last time we were in New Brunswick, many years ago, one of the HHK crew played Biggie's infamous "Track 8" from Ready to Die three times in a row in a bar to see peoples' reactions. Oh to be young and stupid. But we digress. This show should be better than that. (And they have Fried Twinkies.)

jus some more details on the event:
-the outdoor concerts at rutgersfest are FREE for non-rutgers ppl to crash. they haven't checked ID's at any of the years i've gone (i'm not a rutgers student). the rap acts generally draw huge non-rutgers crowds, esp local ppls from the town of new brunswick. so feel free to take the trip down to derrty jerz!
-since common is headlining the event he'll prolly be on last (my guess is ~6 at the earliest). come earlier if you want to ahem ride ginuwine's pony.
-i went to see kanye in '04 and nas in '05. it was ill both years. in '05 i pushed my way to the front to see god's son spit. in '04 kanye brought john legend and miri ben-ari onstage during his set - legend did this unplugged-style version of "used to love u" where it was jus him singing and playin boards. so smooth.
Somebody's gettin paid by the head count. LOL
naw man...i'm jus lookin to give nj some positive press :-) g-state stand up!
