THE BATTLE - VOLUME ONE
What is a blog, if a Diggedy rarely uses it?
Much like Hot 97's old Battle Of The Beats, I'm going to begin a series where I post two songs that I love, and you let us know which you think is the superior track (and hopefully, why)...Or, if you think both suck, wax poetic on it...
The purpose? I just feel like some good old-fashioned hip hop convo..
TRACK 1
Lootpack feat Rasco "Weededed (remix)"
I really dug Lootpack's first album, and thought this remix was a lot of fun...
download here
TRACK 2
Hard 2 Obtain "Ism and Blues"
If you liked The Artifacts, chances are you liked this group... Good, wholesome hip-hop..This title track, was oddly enough, not on their album.

Never heard either of these songs. Both are cool. Definitely feeling the Hard 2 Obtain one. Dirty sound.
Hard 2 Obtain = an example of truly mediocre hip-hop now masturbated over by back-packers just 'cos it has the Stimulated Dummies stamp on it. Anyone paying more than $5 for the album is a true chump!
I guess I'm a chump..
: )
I've actually had this convo with people before about the whole "masturbated over by back-packers" thoughts..
There's a great article somewhere online where Dante Ross says he didn't even like H2O..
I never thought about it too much.. I saw the "LI Groove" video on YO MTV Raps and dug it, went out and got the album, and have always enjoyed it as a companion piece to that era..
