Weekend At Diggedy's - Volume 4

If you guys want to continue with your sidekick debate, feel free to scroll below.

It's giving me a headache.

Welcome back to weekend at Diggedy's! Do you need anything? Cola? Pillow? Cable modem?

Sit back, relax, throw your headphones on, and listen to the choice cuts for March 2nd.

Kurious - "Jorge Of The Projects"

"Jorge Of The Projects" is a gem off of 1994's A Constipated Monkey. The single "Walk Like A Duck" got a lot of burn in NYC (as did "Uptown Shit"). If you can locate the album, I definitely recommend picking it up. I always loved this track. Chill beat, and personality galore on the mic.

Big Daddy Kane - "The Man, The Icon"
http://www.sendspace.com/file/voy125

If you're a Kane fan, and you haven't heard this song, stop what you are doing and download. This song - which hasn't appeared on a proper album to my knowledge - is proof positive that King Asiatic is still nobody's equal on the mic. It's produced by the Alchemist, and dropped about 3-4 years ago. "The fast shooter with the attitude of a Zab Judah / now you wanna pass through the / Livest, somebody please call 911 but it won't be for Wyclef." LONG LIVE THE KANE!!!!!!

Capital D - "1984"
http://www.sendspace.com/file/ifjina

I have to give propers to Wex on this one. He put me on to Capital D & The Molemen's first album, Writers Block : The Movie. Capital D is part of Chicago's All Natural crew. "1984" is off of Capital D's solo album Insomia. The beats are crazy, as are the lyrics. Definitely recommend picking up both.

And I'm out like a trout.
(Free drink ticket next Friday to whomever identifies the song and artist that line is from. If you need to google it to come up with the answer, sure you'll get the drink ticket, but God knows the truth).

That Kurious album is so incredibly overlooked. Insanely dope production by the Beatnuts and Stimulated Dummies. "Uptown Shit" has one of my favorite mid-90's beats, and I miss the whole vibe of that era that A Constipated Monkey represents.

Shawn, I'm not answering it at the show.. It's a special Weekend at Diggedy's trivia..

For my sanity, can you post the answer.. Fair or unfair.. I just want to know I'm not alone in loving that album.

And you'll get a drink ticket!
