We're back!!!
As some of you may have noticed, our site was down for a couple days. This was due to the fact that our server is located on the 11th floor of a downtown New Orleans skyscraper. To be frank, the fact that our hosting company was able to get their sites fully functional in the days following the hurricane is completely mindblowing. It is my understanding that the company's servers & internet connection are currently being powered by diesel fuel generators. I have faith in the brave people at "Directnic" that our site, and many many others that they host, will be able to continue to remain up and functioning in the upcoming weeks, while they continue the uphill battle to recover from such a catastrophe.
I'm sure that i'm not alone when I say how much compassion I feel for victims of Hurricane Katrina, the city of New Orleans, and the whole Gulf Coast region. My heart breaks every time I turn on the news.

the sysadmin over there at Directnic has a blog going. hes hunkered down on the 11th floor in NO. pretty wild.

yea, i've been reading his blog daily since the hurricane struck. pretty crazy stuff. they also have a webcam going that allows you to see what they're seeing outside of their building.
