This is just a happy song from a couple of years ago.. This is the perfect "It's Friday.. It's beautiful out.. I need my walking to work theme music track".. I have nothing else to say.. If you like Kanye and Q-Tip's cousin, you'll dig this.
Samsun Sejour - "The Big Throwback"

So here's the deal..I don't know much about these cats.. But they had a song called "The Big Throwback" that I thought was dope... Just basically a "reminisce" cut over a dope ass beat.. Someone took it and spliced in verses from Redman and Nas.. I think it's just a cool track.. Juding by the download counts on some of the songs I post, you probably won't, but still, you should DOWNLOAD IT!
y5o - "Cockblock"

34 volumes of Weekend At Diggedy's. That's over 100 songs. Not once have I tried to shove my past musical adventures down your throat. Until now. At the show on Friday in Brooklyn, an old old old old dear friend - and my former partner in rhyme - Undakova stopped by HHK. It's been a MINUTE and then some since we last saw each other, and it's had me sitting here reminiscing about the good old days. For those that don't know, our wonderful photographer Rick, the aforementioned Undakova, our pals Vijay and David, and I were all in a live Hip Hop band in college called : "y5o" (http://myspace.com/y5o). I went by the name of Lyrical Jester. Friday was the first time all three of us were in a room together in a long time. Anyway, we didn't really record much of our work, but I have posted today a rare recording of a song we did called "Cockblock". Thanks to Rick for digging it up. It's about 6-7 years old, not really mixed down, but f*ck it. I still think it's dope. I know what you should do. You know what you should do. Download it!
That's all people.
Have a good weekend.
Go Yanks and Giants.

Major, major flashbacks going on here. Going to try to dig up some more of the old tunes for the myspace page... hope you all dig. And yes, the photos are on the way...
This dose of nostalgia is brought to you by your pal rDJ, who met Undakova, in a seminar totally unrelated to hip-hop, put 2(pac) and Too (Short) together, and orchestrated the whole damn thing. For the past month I've had Digs in one ear, Undakova in the other, talking about how much they miss each other and the good old days. It was a beautiful thing to see them meet up again, and yes, I'm taking all the credit.
Next up: I plan to reunite Charlie with the Mothership.
THE TRUTH IS HERE THE TRUTH IS HERE
the mothership, aye?
Yes, or whoever dropped you off in this dimension.
ok, so the stork then.
"One more to go for '07"...how can there be only one hhk between now and 2008? Clearly the crew has to have some kind of December event. Even if it's only a dance party in somebody's living room.
If there is a party in someones living room lets increase the female to male ratio, specifically the females.
Thanks for specifying, Doni.
I'd love host, or at least DJ, a living room dance party before the end of the year. I know some females, too. I could, like, invite them.
Hey Josh, that Cockblock song is pretty great. You two have mad chemistry, it's obvious.
