Tuesdays at Sharkeys

check this!

courtesy of www.themeaningofdope.com

Salt-N-Pepa’s Tuesday Nights at Sharkey’s. Sounds pretty serious. Looks like tons of East Coast stars are in the house. Clip is Fab 5 hitting the pool hall to get he 411 on a ton of the major rappers just hangin out. I love the fact that no one is acting too good to be there, no one is trying to be harder than the next guy. I can’t picture today’s artists acting almost camera shy. Makes me miss the old school. This clip here also includes Black Moon, which was posted here as well. Redman acting hard=funny ish.

we'll be holding it down at the official afterparty for SOUNDSET 2009! this year's lineup for the festival includes the pharcyde, atmosphere, DOOM, brother ali, immortal technique, freeway, etc. it's an indie-hip hop mecca, ya'll.

if you'll be in attendance... think about joining on us on-stage! we'll be adding some of the RSE favorites too... songs from atmosphere, brother ali, eyedea & abilities, & more. step on up and pay homage.

shouts to spine magazine for putting us on to this one...

"Rap music is often heard on the city streets, blaring from the big boxes." RapRadar digs in the archive for this rare '20/20' hip-hop feature footage from 1981.

Easing you back in....

...it's been a while since we all spent a weekend at Diggedy's....

The house is currently under construction...

I can't really have anyone over just yet, but did want to let people know that we'll be getting that train running again real soon...

To hold you over until then, just in case you weren't one of the lucky 100 people to receive this at the past South Paw show, I present to you:

You can download it here:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/acasap

The mix features Royce Da 5'9, Charles Hamilton, Skyzoo, Donny Goines, The Plague (Blitzkrieg, PackFM, GMS, Substantial), and out of retirement, your boy Diggs...

It's dope as hell...

It's free...

Put it in your ipod now.
